Privacy charter

1 GENERAL INFORMATION

Your personal data are processed by and under the responsibility of TREVI SA, whose registered office is located at Rue Vilain XIIII, 53-55, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, with VAT/BCE number: (BE) 0420.418.982 (hereinafter referred to as “Trevi” or “We”). If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”), you can write to us by post at the above address or by e-mail at the following address: info@trevi.be.

We are concerned about respecting your privacy when using the https://www.trevi.be website (hereinafter the “Site”) and are aware of the importance you attach to this. This is why we only collect personal data about you if it is necessary for the purposes described in this Charter. The purpose of this Charter is to provide you with comprehensive information about the personal data we collect and how we use it.

Personal data (hereinafter “Personal Data”) is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A natural person is identifiable when he or she can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

The processing of Personal Data collected via the Site is subject to Belgian law. In particular, it is subject to the Law of December 8, 1992 on the protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data and, from May 25, 2018, to European Regulation No. 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (“GDPR”). These legal texts guarantee specific protection to any user of the Site (“You”) whose Personal Data would be processed by Trevi when using the Site. The present Charter has been drawn up in compliance with the obligations arising from these legal texts.

When you use the Site, we collect and process the following Personal Data in accordance with the methods and principles described below:

4 USE OF COOKIES

A “cookie” is a small data file automatically saved on your terminal when you visit the Site. This “cookie” does not allow you to be identified directly, but records information about your browsing on the Site on your terminal. This cookie is then recognized each time you visit the Site, or when you visit another site that recognizes this cookie. The use of a “cookie” simplifies access to the Site and optimizes navigation. It may also be used to personalize the presentation of the Site for each visitor.

By using the Site, you accept that cookies may be installed on your computer, enabling the storage of information relating in particular to the language chosen during browsing and the parts of the Site visited (in particular the choice of the “private” or “professional” section of the Site). Essential cookies Session ID The Site uses specific cookies, which are essential for its proper operation. It enables the system to identify the User as a unique and individual User, distinct from any other person visiting the Site. This information is not used or stored outside Trevi’s systems. The retention of this information is only temporary. The use of this cookie is essential as it allows secure access to the “My Trevi” account.
Functionality cookies Language and Private/Professional These essential cookies enable us to predefine the language in which the Site is used, as well as to retain the User’s preferences between the “private” and “professional” sections of the Site. Without the use of these cookies, the User would have to systematically check the language, or click on the preference tab, which could cause inconvenience.

 

In principle, you can restrict or prohibit our use of cookies by modifying your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to erase cookies from your hard drive, block all cookies or generate a warning before a cookie is stored. For more information on these functions, please consult your browser instructions or help screen. Please note that some parts or functionalities of the Site will become unavailable or will no longer function correctly if cookies are deleted or blocked.

5 SECURITY AND TRANSMISSION OF YOUR DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

We take the security and confidentiality of your Personal Data very seriously. We use recognized security procedures to guarantee the safe transmission of your Personal Data to and from our Site.

Your Personal Data may be transmitted to other members of the Trevi group for the purpose of sending you information on products and services similar to those offered by. This will always be done with your consent.

If necessary, we may transfer all or part of your data to third parties when required to do so by an administrative or judicial authority, in compliance with applicable legislation.

Your data is intrinsically linked to the activity of our Site and may therefore be transferred to another company in the event that we should sell, assign, contribute or otherwise transfer all or part of our business, or merge with another company or carry out any other form of corporate reorganization.

Apart from these cases, we do not share any of your data with third parties who may use it for their own purposes.

Furthermore, your data will never be stored on servers located outside the European Union.

6 RETENTION PERIOD

Your Personal Data is kept by Trevi for as long as is necessary to provide you with the services you request from us and to respond to any questions or requests you send us. If you have consented to receive information about our products and services or about similar products and services offered by Trevi or by any other member of the Trevi Group, your data will then be stored. In this case, your data will be kept until you object to this processing, which you are entitled to do at any time. Thereafter, we will in principle delete your data, unless its retention is still necessary for one of the other purposes mentioned in point 3 above.

7 YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data for advertising or marketing purposes.

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, limit and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability, within the limits and in accordance with the procedures laid down by the applicable legislation.

You may also withdraw your consent at any time to the uses you have previously authorized. Please note that withdrawing your consent to any of these uses will not affect any processing already carried out on your Personal Data, but will only apply for the future.

In addition, any commercial e-mails or newsletters sent to you will include a link you can click to unsubscribe from receiving further promotional information from us.

If you are not satisfied with the way we process your Personal Data, you can lodge a complaint with the Commission for the Protection of Privacy (http://www.privacycommission.be).

8 ENTRY INTO FORCE AND MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. These modifications will be brought to your attention via the Site or by individual notification, and will become effective 7 days after being published or communicated in this way.
